Organise a faulty or incomplete service dispute
Record what was booked, what was delivered, when you raised concerns, and every response — in one chronology.
Facts & timeline checklist
- Provider name and how you booked (website, email, phone, marketplace).
- What service was described or quoted, price, and payment dates.
- When the service was meant to happen vs when it did.
- What was wrong or incomplete — factual description (missed steps, poor finish, no-show).
- When you first raised the issue and each follow-up.
- Any rework, partial refund, credit, or refusal — record what was offered in their words.
- Amounts paid, withheld, or still outstanding.
Evidence to label
- Quote, booking confirmation, or service agreement.
- Invoices and payment confirmations.
- Photos, videos, or before/after images of the work.
- Emails, chat logs, or letters raising the problem.
- Any inspection notes or third-party comments you have (labelled as such).
